Dating

I had a friend when I lived in Austin who was a few years older than me. I was 37 ish at the time and she had just turned 40. She had been married once (later divorced) but never had kids & really wanted them. Something really snapped within her & she became really 'boy-crazy' and doing lots of reckless stuff in addition to being a shirty friend - like make plans with me and then cancel last minute to go on a date with a rando from an app.

Since she was on all the apps, would meet so many men and fork them all right away & then they would inevitably ghost her after getting what they wanted. She went on a few international trips where she randomly hooked up with strangers. She went to Buenos Aires and met some dude in a night club and ditched her friend she was there with to go back to his place. She went to Costa Rica and forked their tour guide on the side of the hotel. During SxSW music festival, she met some dude from Brazil and took him back to her place and forked him.

My last straw with her was when I had first moved to SD. One of her best friends from college was coming out here so she had decided to come out here and meet up with her but wanted to dedicate a day to spend with me. I had broken my foot the week prior so was in a walking boot and limited on things I could do and she was very well aware of this. We agreed to meet for brunch and hang out the rest of the day.

She texted at the time she was to be meeting me stating that she had met a guy that was also staying at her hotel and hooked up with him the night before and they were going to continue the day together and I could join if I wanted and that they were planning to go hiking at Torrey Pines. I didn't reply and never spoke to her again.

I used to ask her (prior to realizing how bad of a friend she was) "aren't you afraid of bringing all these random dudes over and them knowing where you live? " She said no. Maybe it's because I also had a child while dating that my home was always off limits to strangers. I not only had to ensure it was safe for me but for him as well.

This was not your run-of-the-mill biker trailer hoe, this woman had a masters degree and held a very good job. Guess it just goes to show that common sense eludes many people with book smarts.
I wonder how many STDs she has.
