Chris Olave’s brother Josh Olave will be on Underhill live stream during PHI-GB wildcard game

I had no idea the stat said that and I believe what you're telling me. But I've seen a lot of hits as the ball was getting there. So either the pass was early and he had to pull up (big possibility due to pressure on the QBs) or he wasn't getting enough to be able to make the catch AND protect himself. And this isn't just Olave. None of our guys get much separation and it seems like all passes are closely contested. I nearly never see our guys catching the ball in space.

I hear you. I don't think it showed on the field, but I suspect that had to do with either the scheme, Carr, or the OL. I know that the KK system uses strict progression so it's possible that Olave was open and had great separation a lot when the read progression required Carr to look at other guys first. So, maybe it's the system. Problem is that I think the system works for Carr because it means he has to make fewer decisions.

But, maybe it's just a good reason to find a new OC and QB that will use one of our only weapons better. Olave is always going to be a guy that is more susceptible to injury than bigger guys, but he's also a weapon so they need to find a better way to use him whether we end up calling him a #1 WR or not. Frankly, I think #1 WR is something fans and media use more than teams. They put guys in roles that fit their skill sets and then run the offense. I think teams do sometimes scheme to get one guy open, but I don't know that you can't do that with a smaller guy. It's been done with Diggs and Tyreek Hill. I"m not sure either is what fans consider a #1 WR, but damn if they don't help you win games.
