Do you have ambition to live or retire abroad?

Yes.

Given the fact that with inflation our retirement won’t get us far and we likely will live longer than our parents minus any disease or accident, we just can’t comfortably retire in America. Without me working until I’m 75.

Personally I couldn’t live anywhere without mountains. My wife loves the ocean, so there is a bit of compromise that is to be had.

I love the idea of New Zealand. Maybe even Scotland. Or Bulgaria/Romania. Italy is on the list too.

The US is rapidly turning into a hyper consumerist overpriced theme park and our politicians have sold us to the highest bidder. That combined with endless war, profiting off of healthcare instead of actually caring for their citizens and yeah — we are going to be out of this place eventually.
