Saints expected to be very interested in former Packers/Cowboys HC Mike McCarthy [McCarthy will interview early next week]

I promise I do not mean any disrespect. However, could you imagine a GM ever even considering this in the slightest when discussing a possible candidate for their head coaching position? We both know the answer to that question is absolutely no, it would never be brought up. It’s hard as heck to even get to the Super Bowl much less winning. Only seven coaches in history have led multiple teams to the Super Bowl with different organizations. However, the last thing the Saints need to be worried about right now is a Super Bowl because they have an entire roster that needs to be rebuilt from the floor up. The guy that can best do that needs the job, regardless who it is.

This is an excellent point. I took it at face value that no coaches had won the Super Bowl with two different teams but did not bother to check how many had made it to the Superbowl with two different teams. You are right that it is 7, Shula, Parcels, Reeves, Vermeil, Holmgren, Fox, and Reid. I don't recall the details of the rest, but Vermeil was about a foot short of winning it on the last play. This makes it clear that the no coaches have won Super Bowls with two different teams is even less relevant than I thought when 7 coaches have made it with two different teams.
