The whole "Dexter's first human kill" with the female, "Angel of Death" serial killer nurse is more fleshed-out, explained in specific details then the version barely touched on and (sort of rushed, IMO) in the original series. However, I do think the original serial killer nurse actress (Denise Crosby) was and is a better actress then the one featured here in the prequel (Crosby played Tasha Yar on Star Trek: TNG but was killed off the show due to pay disputes and after her departure, the show drastically improved). Crosby's version was more flirtier, evasive towards a young, immature Dexter and didnt fully admit or own up to her deeds whereas Dexter: Original Sin's version was a lot more unapologetic, remorseless, and in fact, sort of believed she was doing the world a service eliminating lifelong smokers and alcoholics who ruined their healths due to their life-long addictions.
