Darnold hurt himself the last two weeks sure but it’s not like McCarthy is set in stone as the starter.

The Vikes would be wise to wait and see what develops before doing anything. There is no guarantee JJ pans out, is fully healthy etc.

Not sure how it works in Darnold’s situation being a pending FA but if possible one would think that the Vikes could franchise tag him.

Not ideal for tagging a QB due to cost but one they could explore if need be (and possible to do.)
