Payton on being one of the least injured teams in the NFL

Yeah I saw this on YT earlier and thought the same.
You really don't think Payton had anything to do and was completely faultless for all those major injuries that piled up for so many years he was here and now all of a sudden, he gets to throw us under the bus, insisting it's an organizational issue and he wasnt some major cog in it?

That's bullshirt and Sean is coming across as a bit of a hypocrite here. What's worse is that these comments insult a lot of Saints fans intelligences who were alive back then and know the whole truth about the power-dynamics in the Saints FO back then. Again, Freud let's not pretend he was some mostly powerless hired hand.

Bo Nix is a good, promising QB and Denver has a good, up-and-coming squad that will contend for a WC spot for some years to come but so does LAC and Jim Harbaugh and as long as Mahomes remains and has a halfway-decent offensive supporting cast and Reid stays around for 4-5 more years, nobody is overtaking the Chiefs anytime soon in the AFC West. At best, for the foreseeable future, Payton's Broncos will remain the #2-3 best team in their own division.
