I know people suggest we're a good organization, but do we spend top money on staff and coaches? For example, the Commanders have two former HCs as offensive coaches. Are we willing to hire an all-star staff, or are we considered cheap?
I don't know. I haven't heard anyone ever claim that the Saints are cheap or that they don't pay top dollar for coaches or that they don't give coaches the staff they want and the money to get them. I also think that they likely spent a good bit of money last year hiring Kubiak and the rest of his offensive staff. I also recall that DA seemed to be getting paid a lot of money for a guy that really had not other options for a HC job. But, I don't really know.
I did however hear that one of the issues between Jerry Jones and McCarthy was that Jerry wanted to reduce the size of his staff.
