Despite their recent run of success, the SEC was "whatever" this year. Nobody was snubbed, and nobody was a threat to win it all.

I agree, mainly for the way the playoff system is setup. Personally, I don’t think it’s set up for the absolute best/toughest teams to get in, but I do believe that the teams with the best records, will get in. So that means, if a team is a beneficiary of playing in a weaker conference, runs through that conference, then they get ushered to the front of the line. A part of me likes it bc I’ve always wanted to see how some teams would fair against certain competition. And I’m not saying that the SEC is the end all be all, bc I do believe that the likes of Ohio State and ND (examples) can always pose a tough test. I just don’t feel that there are many good conferences like the SEC. Those boys play a tough schedule
