Payton on being one of the least injured teams in the NFL

Right thats all true. But i just assumed that we'd be all in on Mike. In the same aggressive manner we pursued Watson and Carr. So something changed, and I think its the two new GM's. The more i research Glenn, the more i feel he will be a culture changer and a solid head coach. My issue besides the rumored Jets interest would be the time frame it would take for Glenn to build this team. Id think 3 years minimum. Whereas I believe, Mike would compete next year with the roster as it stands. But everything isnt a slam dunk with me, because im legit torn on us moving away from KK and Jancko/Dennison/Benton. What we saw in weeks 1 and 2 were real. I dont think the Mike would retain KK and co. Unless he was leveraged to, and we wouldnt want that. I even researched Mikes record vs the Shanahan offense, it was better than i thought. They just couldnt beat SF and Greeenbay at their best. Alot of teams couldnt beat them either, like the Saints:

All fair. I think maybe that Glenn was the favorite, but McCarthy becoming available could have made them reconsider because McCarthy is a proven coach. I do think they really like Glenn, and I do too, but like you said McCarty is a proven head coach with very little risk. He would almost certainly going to return the Saints to being a playoff team and maybe a Super Bowl contender if they draft better or somehow find an elite QB. If you hire Glenn, or any of the other guys like Brady or Moore, you are hoping that they can reach that level.

It's like the old Family Guy joke with the choice between the mystery box and the boat. A boat is a boat, but the mystery box could be anything, even a boat.
