I never understand the “He had talent” argument when it comes to discrediting coaching, especially if we are talking about college coaches.

Isn’t that what coaching is? Getting talent and what your skills can do with said talent?

Most if not all of the college game boils down to who can acquire the best talent AND coach it into wins.

Should we discredit Nick Saban too for having college football all-star team rosters full of high NFL draft picks every single year?
