I want no part of Aaron Glenn as a HC

Losing an OC is overrated on this board. It’s not ideal, but it’s not the death of the offense if it happens, particularly if you have a head coach and FO with a plan. If you are changing systems every year, that’s a different kind of problem (also known as having no plan). As an example, DA had no real vision for the offense.

2022: keep the same OC for system continuity

2023: sign Carr because he allegedly fits the system better than Dalton

2024: change the system that Carr is allegedly best in because Allen’s seat is getting warm (despite finishing 5th in points and 10th in yards down the stretch after moving Peat to LT)

Even if the HC calls plays on Sunday, he isn’t doing all the work of an OC. Brees spent more time with Carmichael during the week than he did with Payton because Payton’s main job was managing the team, not sitting in the QB room all day. Payton hasn’t been able to field a top ten offense in the last three seasons coached because offensive output is more a function of talent than coaching. Better players (see Detroit) will make scoring points easier.

Both Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson have had multiple OC’s, but they are lighting up the scoreboard week after week. Nobody laments how changing OC’s has failed them.
EXACTLY, If you are a D minded HC you hire the best OC you can AND you get a guy to groom as the next best OC when the 1st guy leaves. You keep the same system so the O does not have to learn a new one. Look at Quin 1st he had Shanny and now he has KK. If you can't spot a great OC then you are not the HC needed
