Saints are flying Kafka and Weaver in for 2nd interview

Let's be clear, here. We're not getting one of the glamour candidates. The 'hot young things' are going elsewhere, where things are definitively more attractive and either a well regarded young QB or high draft pick are in place.

(Johnson won't be coming here, even for an interview. So all the breathless mentions of his name need to end.)

That leaves the solid, unspectacular leader of men coaching candidates, whose names you'll know from the last two to three rounds of NFL hiring cycles. The likes of the Bears and Jets will get first pick of the Carrolls, McCarthys and Glenns, leaving the Saints to pick what they can from the remainders. The only bonus is that Jones will likely sign someone sub-optimal, just to ensure he has a submissive HC or an easy out if they fail.

But to be fair, I was hardly excited about CSP and wanted Gary Kubiak, so ultimately you never know.
