Saints are flying Kafka and Weaver in for 2nd interviews [Interviews completed]

I agree that’s not a winning strategy, but I’m basing off the Saints history of drafting QB’s. They did have a chance at drafting a QB high in 2006, but still went the FA route. It worked out great as Brees ended up being a HOF QB and Matt Leinart was a bust, but my point remains that they don’t want to draft a QB high as it isn’t in their strategy.

And the Saints also have the ability to trade up in drafts to go get the guy they like and haven’t done it for a QB, but they have done it for other positions including RB. They also have had the chance at drafting QB’s in the first and second round without trading up. Lamar Jackson, Jordan Love, and Jalen Hurts all had a chance to be a Saint without trading up.
The last four QB's in the playoffs are all dynamic NFL QB's. Three out of the four are difference maker's with their legs. Do you see anyone in the draft that fits that bill? Milroe is the closest I see and he's not ready to play QB in the NFL. Brees wasn't dynamic with his arm or legs. He was smarter and worked harder than most in the NFL. Do you see a guy like that in the draft? I don't.
