Interestingly enough ... while small ice pellets are collecting on raised surfaces like roofs and cars, there are still puddles of water on the concrete around our home. The ground is holding a lot of latent heat, at least enough to prevent water from freezing. For now.

I've warned everyone that when they go check out the snow later, they have to take great care walking around on the concrete. Our temps on the West Bank are only going to be around 29-32F throughout the day ... but at some point, the ground heat will diminish just enough and that thin layer of water will freeze.

Pipes made out just fine. The faucets run like normal inside the home.
