The Argument for a Stealth Head Coach Candidate

Isn't the whole point of hiring a good coach is so you can be a perennial playoff team?

The packers are on their 3rd Franchise signal caller (Farve, Rodgers, Love) and third successful head coach (Reid, McCarthy, LaFleur) is you ask me the Packers are doing everything right, they know when to let a player go and they know how to identify a head coach.
Yes, you do want your team to be a perennial postseason contestant. However, if your rebound HC, isn’t garnering the same heightened success, then how can you be happy that the former is gone? It makes no sense. Give me the guy, who was getting me further bc the goal is to win the entire lot. Which is what the main criteria for hiring a HC should be……to win the entire thing, not just be happy to be nominated for a postseason entry. The goal is to win the Super Bowl.

Side note: Reid never coached the Packers.

Other side note: As a Saints fan, who just went through 2.5 years of wood chopping, I would take a HC who can just get us into the playoffs. However, that’s not how Packers fans should view things. They can actually have some optimism on a yearly basis
