Sneaux next week [Historic snowstorm in southeast Louisiana on January 21, 2025]

A couple of hours ago, I'd have said "no way". But after a few hours in full sun, the snow on our back street is "flattening" -- even with the air temperature around 30F right now. It's hard to predict what things will look like after a full day of sun and highs in the 35-37F range today. I don't have experience with this, obviously.I think what's going to be an issue for you tomorrow, though, is that today's snow melt will refreeze overnight, leaving the streets ice-slick. And I don't think that will be much diminished by 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Maybe later afternoon Thursday, giving the ice slick four or five more hours to melt.EDIT: And ... minutes after I typed this out, my son's high school (West Bank of Jefferson Parish) texted everyone that they've cancelled school tomorrow. Busses won't be able to roll, staff and parents wont be able to drive on the ice.
I think it really depends on low tonite and how long it remains. If 30, then shouldn't be that hard of a freeze and soon as temps hit 33 tomorrow, melt is on.If temps get to below 32 for a good while then ice is thicker and will take longer to melt.

Hopefully temps don't stay below 32 for more than 6 hrs or so overnight.
