A true Loomis hater would note that JAX also has a big boss GM who has the unshakable backing of the owner which may or may not have an impact on potential HC hires.

And a reasonable person would point out that Loomis, despite all his faults, has a much better reputation than Baalke.

I think there is little doubt that Glenn was the first choice and we won't get him. But, I think McCarthy is the second choice and we are likely to get him. He may not work out, but it won't be because we had to take whatever is left over.
