How much fire does McCarthy have left? He's 61 and coming out of a very draining high-profile job with no break. Payton at least got a year off.

I just worry we're in for a John Fox situation. A good coach nearing the end goes to a dumpster fire situation with no QB.

Prescott isn't Farve or Rodgers but he's better than Carr.

I think McCarthy is a safe hire on paper that could go horribly wrong.
