And then you have Bud Wilkerson, Urban Meyer, Nick Saban, Steve Spurrier, Chip Kelly, Bobby Petrino, Matt Rhule, John McKay, Gregg Schiano, Lane Kiffin and others that have failed miserably.
Yes…we can go back and forth with names, which is my point. You can go back and forth with names from coaches of all walks of life. There is no perfect formula here.
You don’t damn entire demographic because of their background…you interview and vet them and make the best decision you can.
I’m not a big fan of college coaches turned pro either, but I’m not going to say no to all college coaches just because many have failed when I know many have failed from virtually all other backgrounds.
