Saints to interview Mike McCarthy in middle of this week, 1/26-2/1 per Pelissero [Underhill: McCarthy would have to be the current favorite]

I don't think McCarthy is a fit because we have an aging team that didn't draft terribly well over the last 5 seasons. I'm in the camp of starting Rattler, embracing either a potential tank or a surprising season from a young talent, and rebuilding. McCarthy is not the guy for that IMO.

We have a bottom 15 NFL roster where many of the team's best players are around or over 30. Start fresh and take risks. I would want McCarthy if my team had solid talent but needed that extra push.

Why not someone young, talented, and hungry for the opportunity?
