I give up LOL. If you need a signed affidavit from Loomis confirming that Aaron Glenn was their top choice, then, OK, that's your prerogative but seems like an unrealistic standard. No GM in the history of sports is ever going to offer an on the record statement that "hey this guy is our top choice" especially after he turns them down.
So all we can do is go off the opinions offered by both local and national writers that, while not using your preferred language, make it pretty clear that Glenn was their top choice and did so repeatedly over the course of 10 weeks. Or at least, ONE OF their top choices.
Which, at the end of the day, is what I was getting at - whether he was first choice or 2nd or 3rd, they obviously wanted to interview him and couldn't even get him in the building. If it helps to think that they really didn't want him anyway, OK, but, that seems pretty silly to me.
