I think he was the best available after Ben Johnson. And really he might be exactly what we need. Brady/Moore could be legit and 20 year coaches but we're kind of a mess right now and it could take 2-3 years to right the ship. Brady/Moore don't have the skins on the wall to really survive the rough waters. It could be legitimately too much too soon. They probably need to go into a better situation than what we have. Kind of like drafting a franchise QB to the Browns, no matter who they are they won't be successful. McCarthy has the reputation to help us get the ship righted and help bring back our reputation.
