Anyone ever meet Loomis in person?

I’ve held a long belief Tom Benson was a smart guy who surrounded himself with other smart people.

He empowered Loomis with a tremendous amount of authority from the jump and into the future. Loomis is well respected in NFL circles.

I too can make an argument it may be time for a new GM. Sometimes new ideas bring new results. But let’s give credit where credit is due, he did find and hire Sean Payton, and now he has an opportunity to find the next coach of the Saints.

But there is no way Loomis is going anywhere outside of the Saints franchise.

Regarding the question asked, I’ve met Mickey Loomis at a Hibernia bank function years ago. He was very entertaining and he’s smart. He was also very gracious in that setting. Quite friendly with everybody there.
