We're definitely close, but a few things are still in the way.
First, that $52m we are over this year will mostly be pushed into the future, eating up some/all of the 2026 space. Also, the 2026 cap is for a roster with only 25 players, so we would need to sign another 28 players to fill out the roster (plus all the other cap costs from IR, practice squad, etc.).
Beyond that, it really depends on what we do this year and next. If we don't sign any notable deals this year and next, then that helps us dig out of the hole, but it also means we are relying on rotational veterans and UDFA-type players to come in and make an impact.
