Loomis' one unforgivable decision
I didn’t play college football but would have easily 1) reset the cap after Payton, 2) not be forced to ditch Allen when he was clearly not the guy, 3) avoided Derek Carr, and 4) not spend first rounders, including future assets, on raw upside prospects, and 5) made it a priority to get an young replacement for Brees as he started to show signs of decline. I know nothing about anything and yet I have no questions that I would have done those 5 things better. Random Saints fan shouldn’t have a better vision for this franchise than the current GM. His time here is up…and yet he’s still here, and with another lame duck coach to boot. I have no optimism for this franchise. I don’t blame every decent coaching prospect to avoid it like the plague.
