Ben Johnson turned down the Washington job last year despite them picking #2 in a draft with insane QB talent. Was that a terrible job that nobody wanted? Was it copium to think they would still get a good HC?
Guys turning down jobs isn't always some major indictment of your team. And one guy turning down the job doesn't mean it's a terrible job or you can't get a good coach. Obviously the Jets, Raiders, Jaguars, and Bears have always hired great coaches so coaches they don't want must be horrible.
And we still have 4 very good options on the board in McCarthy, Moore, Kafka, and Weaver so who really cares if people think it's a sheetty job or not? It's not like anything can be done about it other than hire the guy you think can turn it into a great job.
