No Star Power

Obviously there are factor(s) that make the Saints unattractive for coaches (perhaps players too), but it seems on this board people don't want to admit that is possible?

Is lack of a above average to elite QB?
Clueless GM?
Distant owner?
Something else?
Mismanaged salary cap (don't want to delve into this but consider an outside coach coming in and their perspective)

Whatever it is there is something hobbling the Saints, perhaps multiple things.

The real question IMO is good to great coaching and a very good to elite QB, it all starts there. If you don't have either, you're looking for it.

And for those that want to object and say "you can win, without an elite QB, or there are only so many elite QBs in the NFL." I agree, and if you don't have a very good to elite QB, guess what? You're going to go up against teams that do.

No amount of wishing that away will make it less any less true.

As far coaching? To a degree easier to get a good coach than QB, or at least easier to change in and out of a team compared to QB if for no other reason teams will tend to give a highly drafted QB multiple shots. A coach can be fired with less "sunk cost" generally speaking.
