We need to put more value in collecting (and not trading away) premium picks, which I would consider picks from the first two days. Trading down for more premium picks is fine, but trading away multiple premium picks to move up is the opposite of what this team needs right now.

From 2022-2024, we had eight premium picks, thanks in part to having a HC to trade away (otherwise we would have had only seven). In the historic 2017 draft alone, we had six premium picks, and we saw how that turned out. It was a huge infusion of talent into a roster that needed help to make one last run with Brees.
