Closer look at Kellen Moore in the NFCCG today

What has Kafka done without Mahomes?

Moore has worked with Dak, Herbert and now Hurts. He also backed up Stafford as a player in Detroit. He has his team in the NFC Championship game with a RB who can "throw" at QB. I wouldn't read too much into his time with the Chargers, that was a talent depleted/injured team with a banged up Herbert. I like that he's worked with different styles of QBs, that's a bonus.

I don't know if Moore should be the pick over McCarthy, but I do like the fact that he has run good offenses with mid-level QBs or at least mid-level passers. Herbert is obviously more than that, but he was hurt much of Moore's time with the Chargers. But, he's done a good job with Dak and Hurts and that is maybe the best level we can hope for at QB for at least several more years. Moore seems like the kind of guy who could work well with Rattler.

But I will say that Kafka did manage to turn Daniel Jones into a competent enough QB to get into the playoffs for one year. So, he does at least have that on his resume.
