Things That Make You Feel Old

When I used to be a runner in my late 20's/early 30's & was doing marathons, 25K, fun runs, you name it....there was nothing more humbling than an octogenarian passing you by ....or a 10 year old! Back then I was doing 8.5 minute miles. I don't run anymore but I'd bet I'm at at least 12 minute mile now because of age, being out of practice, knee surgeries and the fact that I focus more on lifting now. I wonder if I could even run a single mile without stopping. LOL
I admire runners - I am not nor have I ever been one. I’ve never run any marathons or anything serious outside of a few charity/community events. For me, it has only been about health and keeping weight off.
It took me a long time to build up to where I am now. With your focus on muscle strength, I’d bet it wouldn’t take you long to back in the swing of things when it comes to running.
