Enough With the HC Hand Wringing - McCarthy Is the Best Option for the Saints

We have to hire someone to coach the team, and whoever we hire better try to win as many games as possible starting next year. Ownership needs to be patient, work on the cap and purging the roster of over the hill players and making good decisions with draft capital.

McCarthy is the safest pick, but if Kellen Moore wants the job, makes the more impressive pitch and the Saints hire him instead that's fine too (but a riskier proposition). The point of my post is that the is no reason to trash the team because a bunch of unproven candidates (some of whom weren't really available to come here) decided to take jobs elsewhere). The pool we have to chose from at this time is no worse than the pool that was available last week. All of them are a crap shoot; but the reality is that McCarthy is the least risky of the lot given his track record of long term success, recent success and a SB win.

in other words - chill and stop acting like the HC hiring process somehow proves the Saints are dumpster fire. Loomis had made a number of gaffes of late, but he did acquire Payton, Brees and bring New Orleans a Superbowl. So his record overall is 1 and 1. He needs to get the next hire right - and if he does not, it is clearly time for him to go. But let's see what happens next and then judge based on the results.
I don’t think I’ve seen anyone on here trashing the team when giving their opinion on who the next HC should be. Did I miss something?
