Let me ask anyone a question. Do you think the Saints would prefer to have Vrabel, Johnson, or Glenn over any of the remaining coaches they will likely hire? I think the answer is yes they would.
I don't really know and I'm not sure you do either. Do you have any inside information?Did they want Vrabel? Sure but he was going to NE period. His decision had nothing to do with the Saints organization.
None of those hires are a guarantee and given the recent history of those franchises, it's not a given that any of them will succeed in those places. I mean look at those franchises. They suck every year, they're always at the top of the draft order, and it seems like they're always replacing coaches. The Saints finished 5-12, mainly due to massive injuries, and yet they're still picking 10th in the upcoming draft. 9 teams were worse.
I'm not defending Loomis either. He made a huge mistake with DA. He's now gotta correct that. Will he? We'll see.
