The Silk Road leads to prison

What was the reasoning behind the pardon? Kinda crazy nobody cares who's released with these things anymore. It's just like, "oh, never thought that guy would go free. Please pass the salt".

I don't really know. I know a lot of libertarians had a fondness for Silk Road, and the more anarchist nature of it, and they considered his life sentence to be excessive b/c they figured the real reasons the government went after him so harshly was because he was trying to circumvent the government or something. I don't know Trump's motives.
