Enough With the HC Hand Wringing - McCarthy Is the Best Option for the Saints

The panic that has set in over the next HC hire is ridiculous.

Most of the HCs hired in this cycle are either tired retreads (Pete Carroll), Rizzi like "promotions" (Dallas) or coordinators who we have no idea whether they will be good HC material (Chicago). The only one hired in this cycle that would have been a no brainer was Vrabel, and he was never going anywhere besides New England. Johnson from the Lions was the "hot name" on the market this year, but there are rumors about him having a weird personality. Maybe he does great in Chicago (his QB is a weirdo too), but maybe not. There have been many boy wonder OCs hired to become HC that did not pan out (McDaniel for example).
What do you think MM is. He has never had to build a team up from scratch. Both Green Bay and Dallas where already pretty darn good when he arrived. Here on SFF there was a thread mostly mocking the Cowboys for hiring him, calling him a pushover and a "retread".

If MM could not get in done with the talent in Dallas, how do you think he is going to fair any better here. Not going to pretend like the Saints are somehow lucky to hire the great MM, a coach that pretty much noone else wanted either by the way.
