Rizzi giving cringe locker room speeches does not make him Dan Campbell nor is a more technically-oriented coach necessarily less capable. I get your point, but the key question is how you determine whether a person is a leader. Tomlin spent one year as a coordinator with the Vikings before being hired by Pitt. That's not a standout coordinator in terms of performance. The story goes that he knocked the interview out the park. That said, there have been plenty of great coaches who were not "rah rah" types, like Joe Gibbs and Tony Dungy.
