Closer look at Kellen Moore in the NFCCG today

Moore would be an idiot not to ride Barkley with that OL. Hurts is not even as good a passer as Dak. . I still think it's MM's job

The biggest criticism Moore had during his Dallas days was that he tended to abandon the run game too quickly.

With the results he has gotten with Barkley, I think he has learned his lesson.
Kellen Moore is NOT head coach material at all. He is a good, not great, but good OC at best at this stage.

He's an X's and O's guy and not one who is fiery and that is what the Saints need. They need a new mentality to come in and shake things up.
OK, Moore was one of those projects from Jerry Jones. When McCarthy was hired, one condition was to keep Moore. Jones saw Moore as a talented play caller, but also as a good leader that will turn into a good head coach once he got experience. But he left Dallas as a scape goat of the failures of the team during the postseason.

Where is this idea that Moore is the front runner ? Just because they might go to Philly to interview him?
I think it's still MM's job unless Moore just wows them .
These rumblings you talking about go against what REBELMAX has said that MM has been pushing for the job through all the back channels
I think flying to Philly is quite telling. But to be honest, I am not sure if Moore will be interested to take the job. He has to decide which situation is better, to stay in Philly with that offense and take the job he may want (as we saw with Ben Johnson) or sign to a rebuild project with limited resources with the saints.

As for McCarthy, it is the safe hire by Loomis since he knows him well, and has worked with him and Randy Mueller. This is a status quo signing. Continuity will be the name of the game.
