The people producing many of these stories (in all honesty, many of them aren’t true writers) are reading message boards looking and developing stories to lure message board readers to their stories to gain more click because they sell ads based on the number of clicks they get. So all the negativity on message boards fuel negativity-based stories. I think that’s some of what we’re seeing. But to write something like this in a first person format, even using “I”, without having a byline giving the author’s name, is just straight up BS.
