I can smell what’s coming after the HC hire

I'm trying to move forward but there is the other side of this to consider.....it's called reality......I wanted DA to succeed because it was the only option, I strongly suspected he would fail because he showed us who he was in his 1st season.....I expressed that opinion as many others did, we were met with a lot of BS and gaslighting.....and it went so far as some brainiacs attempting to tear CSP down to make DA somehow look....better....

It was dumb, really idiotic, so no, it's not negativity, it's wanting our team to not stay with a terrible HC and waste years doing so.....

Just like the message board would be boring if we were all realistic/negative it would be just as boring if we were all sunshine pumping gaslighting positive.....it's all part of the adventure that is the Saintsreport message board....
The board wouldn’t be fun if it was nonstop sunshine pumping but this is the internet, I’ve navigated it for decades as a woman, and I can tell you in no corner of the internet would I expect to find a community comprised entirely of optimism and positivity. Conflict is everywhere humanity is.

However there is something to say about balance. If everybody wants to be a realist, what’s the point of fanhood, what’s the point of cheering, what’s the point of coming to the place where the cheering happens and souring the atmosphere? We exert no actual control over the daily operation of the team, yet people will say “I acted negatively for years so the team would do something about their performance” as if, again, there is any capacity to actually impact that. “Realist” isn’t a substitute for vigilante - if a midseason depth chart shakeup or coaching change happens, it is because the people in charge are also unhappy with the results, not because they read fan posts and made a change under duress. Acknowledging that things are bad and hoping they get better, maybe talking about things we’d like to see as agents of change for the better is fun and engaging and sets the stage for the future to be one worth believing in. Miring in despair and trying to bring people to your despairing, and gloating at fans that you called the bad times coming first… like, why are you here?
