I can smell what’s coming after the HC hire

Not your intent or even a thought to insult the fan base, but you know the Saints are at the deep-root of the soul, culture, and vibe of the city. The fanbase has a huge undeniable footprint, and influence.

Exhibit A (Albert Breer, Sports illustrated): One nugget I picked up the past couple of days is that this decision was very much driven by ownership, with Gayle Benson reaching a breaking point with the team’s struggles over the past few weeks. GM Mickey Loomis, I’m told, didn’t want to pull the plug on Allen yet, but Benson and her group was hearing from the fan base in a way they hadn’t before, and their resolve was strengthened through that, to the point where perception inside the building holds that Allen might’ve been fired Monday even if he’d beaten the Carolina Panthers.

Some of you are unconditional in your love and enthusiasm for the team. Others are fed up with the crystallizing incompetence and failure and will speak with tone and unsuppressed feelings that may push the limits of others' feelings. The good news is that there wonderful prescription and non-prescription mood stabilizers, depending upon who's in the mood to take them.

I lived the early days and years of Saints football. I grew up on the Tulane campus. I just want Sundays to get back to being Saints football party days. I have no tolerance or happy place for a team that herpa derpas itself into the oblivion of suck.
