Ya I can't buy those excuses. We watched Sean Payton barely miss the playoffs in 2021 playing QB carousel with Winston (who literally got yanked as backup QB fro the Browns) tagged as primary starting QB and plenty of injuries. In 2020 he went 12-4 and still made the playoffs and that was the year Brees was out breaking all those ribs. Really good coaches still find ways to win.
