First Album You Bought With Your Own Money

For many, I have owned the LP, then cassette. But many cassettes I recorded from LP. I switched out my 8-Track for a Craig Power Play system (69 Buick Skylark FTW and mounted next to the CB) but I owned several 8-Tracks of LPs I owned. Eventually, I owned some cassettes for which I had never owned the LPs. Then, somewhere around 1993, I was gifted with a CD player and some CDs of LPs that I had owned as 8-Tracks and cassettes because those were known to be, at the time, as the music I listened to mostly.
Then, I am not sure when but I suspect around 2000~ish, I downloaded some "digital content" whose ownership was questionable because a group of us were sharing music we owned. Along with that came some paid albums that I wanted the convenience of listening to at work.
I suspect that many of us, who are in my age group, did things in a similar way with no real straight lines from one to the next. I know I owned some 8-ts before I owned the same LPs. I know I owned some 8-ts that I skipped over LPs and went to cassette.
Many chickens. Many eggs.
