Waiting on a head coaching hire can be tough on the fanbase

I think you're spot on. It seems that for a lot of fans who gets hired is as important to them as the results of their biopsy would be.

I want the Saints to do well and win, but it's low on my list of priorities in life. I would trade the Saints never winning another game to get back my closest friend that died unexpectedly in November the morning after I talked to her. I'm not sharing that to get sympathy. I'm just sharing it to give some perspective on priorities.

It's not healthy to stay so upset and angry about things we can't control. It's soul crushing and life sucking.

One of my closest friends was found dead in the days after the NFCCG no-call. She couldn’t tell you what color a football was but her passing moved me out of anger over that and into a sadness I’ve been fortunate enough to rarely visit, but one I definitely know. Our friend circle needed each other and moaning over the game just stopped mattering.
