He holds all the leverage here. I can only imagine he wants total control. Especially when we have been so dysfunctional the last few years. Loomis isn’t giving anyone that. He’s facing the same issues that he had in the meetings with the cowboys. Thing for Mike is, he holds all the cards. He’d be fine with going home to Wisconsin and hanging out at his house I’m sure.

He only holds all the leverage if McCarthy is the top pick of the team and I'm not sure he is. I think right now, Moore is the top pick and he may have been ever since Glenn took the Jets job. If McCarthy was the top choice, it seems they would have interviewed him long ago and according to Underhill, it has been McCarthy's people lobbying to get him the job. If he sits out a year at his age, he may keep getting passed up for younger coordinators and never get another HC job.
