I'm not on board with giving anyone more than 2 years without a playoff appearance. If that's what we need, just hire the interim guy and fire him after we've cleaned things up.
I mean Sean Payton went 3 years without one right before our big run in 2017. It takes time to fix things.
Hiring an interim guy just to clean things up and then fire them is real messed up. What if our next coach changes scheme and our draft picks over 2-3 years don't fit it? As long as we're making progress I'm good with 3-4 years.
