Anthony Weaver is probably right there with Moore for me as 2nd best candidate that’s been interviewed.

Brian Flores is a better hire than all of the 3 that seem to be in the mix for the job (I know there’s a pending lawsuit). Robert Saleh is a better hire than all 3 options.

And other teams were just knocking down the door of Brian Flores and Robert Saleh, weren’t they?

You have no idea what the team was looking for.

What if they knew this whole time that they wanted an offensive minded coach, but heard great things about how great a leader Weaver is and decided he was worth the time so switched it up and talked to him but kept the other slot for an offensive guy (like every other person we have talked to)?

You just don’t know. But let me guess, you’re about to start a “Saints are racist” narrative so you can have something else to be angry about.

FWIW…I do think that’s the problem for black candidates. We need to see more black OCs, and the league recognizes that and is creating initiatives to develop that more rather than having the sham HC interview circuit.
