Dan Orlovsky about the saints and Kellen Moore

Vince Lombardi wouldn’t win more than 7 games with this roster in 2025.I think year 1 is a mulligan for Moore because of how weak and thin the roster is. Year 2 you want to see the flashes of a turnaround and year 3 is the expectation year.

Moore was 5th or 6th on my list, but he is at least alive, as opposed to Lombardi…..who incidentally withdrew his name from the saints HC job from beyond the grave. It was down to Moore and Rizzi.

I would’ve gone Rizzi, only because he would eat the L’s, we could fire him after 1 year because it’s fairly common for interims turned permanent. Fix the roster and the cap, fire Loomis and have a high draft pick in 26. Make the job more attractive and get back in the HC search again with something to actually offer a bright young OC.

But Moore, there’s at least some unknown. Younger guy, you never know how he will turn out. Could be a dud, might be the future.
