Super Bowl tickets for season ticket holders?

Exactly. Anyone who can afford to buy SB tickets that gets offered to buy them at face value would be a fool to pass on them.
I have this odd hobby of studying super bowl ticket prices. Don't know why, but I started doing after we went to the Saints one. (It used to be the best day to buy tickets was the Tuesday before the game, which was when the NFL players got their tickets, but they've changed things). Over time, the NFL has significantly increased face value on Super Bowl tickets making it harder to profit on them.

Point of reference, the Saints Miami tickets were $800 face in the upper deck, and I paid a little over 1100 per ticket.

The earlier poster mentioned $4500/ticket face, which is likely location dependent. The "get in the door" price on Stubhub is $4222 (plus probably 2k or more in fees to stubhub that the seller doesn't get any piece of.

I've noticed that New Orleans is one of the cheaper Super Bowl ticket locations, which my theory is that it's a little harder and more expensive to get to, because MSY is the only airport. For example, we flew in to Orlando for the Saints SB. You can fly like 8 different places in SoCal, etc. Also, other places just have a lot more flights. You wouldn't think that would influence ticket pricing, especially at these prices, but it seems to.

Sorry for the diatribe, but this topic is interesting to me.
