Hiring Moore = Ashton Jeanty as 1st rd pick?

Practically there’s no such thing as elite running behind an inferior line
In fact you’re probably shaving years off a back’s career
And no one is saying that if the only lineman available at 9 is graded at 20 on your board you take him anyway
But if you have both graded at 9 you definitely take O or D line and wait a year for your elite playmaker
Our line isn't that bad though. Our tackles are very good at run blocking and it was their first year starting at the position. Our center is the only pro bowler on our roster. Replacing Ruiz is more of want than a need. LG is a need and should be addressed in FA.

I think your philosophy is very applicable in the late first and the rest of the draft but picking in the top 10 is different since there are only a handful of true blue chip prospects. I don't see how you can nonchalantly say pass on an elite playmaker when we have none.
