Build the Saints' 3-4 Defense
Looks like from the snap count, which I’m sure the majority of came from the nickel, they had for the majority of the time Milton running the 2i (basically a 1 tech), Carter at 3, and both edges wide 9. Would love to see their snap count totals out of the base formation only.For reference, here is how the Eagles interior defenders lined up with a hand in the dirt throughout the regular season:
And here are the edge defenders:
The Eagles rarely had a player lined up as a 5-tech, and Jalen Carter had the most snaps from that alignment (23). By comparison, they lined players up as a 4- or 4i nearly seven times as often.
